Master of Science Degree in Recreation and Park Administration
Graduate education in the Department of Recreation and Park Administration at Eastern Kentucky University will prepare students for administrative roles in the recreation and tourism sectors of the Commonwealth, United States and throughout the world with a curriculum focused on problem solving, research and creative activity. The structure of the graduate program will be such that the degree program can be completed by professionals attending part time or by students wishing to complete the program in an expedited fashion.
M.S. Program Goals
To enhance the marketability of each student in professional roles and responsibilities.
To ensure each student can understand and apply research and problem solving processes to recreation and leisure services.
To have each student understand the overall administrative process for recreation and leisure services.
To provide opportunities for scholarly and service endeavors (i.e. published paper, professional presentation, grant proposal, supervising a community event etc.).
