  • Expert Areas: Human Dimensions in Natural Resource Management, Ethics in Leisure Pursuits

When I was a child, my parents allowed me to roam through the woods and really become an “outdoor kid.” Even as a kid, I knew I had developed a special connection to nature and that relationship has only matured over the years.  I enjoy the chilly winters, the sweaty summers, the wet springs, and the golden leaf falls that nature brings as each year moves forward.  I believe this love and connection has directed me to where I am today and guide me in the future.

Through my work with state parks and my connections to individuals in the outdoor recreation field, I feel as though I may contribute to providing outdoor recreation to those that cherish and respect the natural resource. I aim to educate and ethically develop the next generation of outdoor recreation professionals so that these beautiful and meaningful places are sustained forever.
