Tommy is from Atlanta, Georgia and began a career in Campus Recreation as a freshman at Valdosta State University. Upon graduating he obtained a graduate assistantship within the Outdoor Department at The University of Mississippi. While attending the university he oversaw the Challenge Course, Climbing Tower, Rental Program, Bike Program and Trips. After graduating with a degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel he received a position at Morehead State University as the Coordinator for Adventure Programs. Tommy transferred to Eastern Kentucky University after serving two years at his previous institution. He currently serves as the Assistant Director of Adventure Programs and is an avid climber.

Prior to working at Eastern Kentucky University Tommy would frequent the Red River Gorge for yearly climbing trips.  He currently holds Certifications as a ACCT Level 1 facilitator, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, CPR Instructor and Wilderness First Responder. He has always had a strong passion for the outdoors and more importantly pushing others to do the same.

Tommy hopes to provide a unique experience for all students by ensuring their overall growth and development throughout their academic career through co-curricular activities and experiential learning.
